Gallo-Roman Hercules bronze figure

Little gallo-roman figure of Hercules / Herakles, wearing the leonte of lion's skin. One hand missing, which probably held the club, favorite weapon of the hero. Face features worn out.

Material : Bronze, fine green patina, on a marmor stand
Provenance : ex. French auction sale, Drouot, expertised
Dimensions : Height : 9,5 cm - with stand : 15,5 cm
Period : I-II c. A.D.
