Etrusco-Corinthian Painted Aryballos
 

 

 

   Fine Etruscan-Corinthian potteries with animal scenes, typical of Etrusco-Corinthian art of the Archaic perid (VI c.B.C.).

   A fine globular aryballos decorated with a frieze of painted and engraved birds, rosettes, and a rare owl.
   Very good conservation. Some wear and encrustations. Painting unrestored. Only restoration : handle reattached.

   Provenance : ex.Paris auction sale, ex.French collection
