Fine terracotta votive head of a woman typical of Etruscan hellenistic culture. Terracotta moulded body parts, and especially fine heads, have been found in Etruscan sanctuaries, and believed to be ex-votos.
The woman or youg lady - kore - is wearing an himation on the back of her head. Sometimes the terracotta head was put on top of a lifesize terracotta body.
