Very nice polychrome figure of a woman carved in fruitwood, probably the Virgin or perhaps Mary Magdalene at the Calvary, because of her dramatic attitude of surprise and terror.
Late seventeenth century or early eighteenth century - Southern Germany.
Some fingers missing, lack to the painting, for example on the face. The right arm is original but carved in another piece of wood and the connection is visible. Mounted on a small piece of wood, but it would be better on a stand.
