Fan tailed with ocelles ornamentation and large, radiated head with stylised bird heads, typical of the migration period. Iron pin is missing.

As opposed to Roman functional fibulas, such brooches were worn in pair as decorative accessory only on the lower/ central part of the woman's dress.

Period : VI-VII th c. A.D.
Origin : Eastern Europe
Material : Bronze / copper alloy with nice patina
Provenance : private collection, auction sale
