Nuremberg XVII c. alms dish
 

     

 

 

   A very large brass alms dish typical of Nuremberg South German production of the late 16 - early 17 th. century.

   The raised central boss with a plain roundel surrounded by embossed petals. It is surrounded by an inscription
   and a gadrooned cavetto. The flanged everted rim is undecorated.

   The detail is somewhat worn out. On small crack in the cavetto. Pierced one time. Ex.Drouot auction sale, Paris.
