Medieval pilgrim badge, Crucifixion - XIV-XV c.
 

 

 

   Complete pilgrim badge with the Crucifixion.

   The crucified Christ is surrounded by two figures, probably St John and the Virgin. The scene takes places in an architectural frame
   On top, gothic inscription IHC, medieval version of the Christogram, i.e. the three first letter of Jesus in Greek.

   Perhaps a casting flaw in the lower left corner of the frame. Else god conservation. Pewter.
