Beautiful limestone head of the late fourteenth / early fifteenth century which was probably part of an architectural support. The cap seems to indicate a figure of a prophet of the Old Testament.
The realistic treatment is reminiscent of the art of Claus Sluter, especially the heads of prophets on the consoles of the Champmol portal, from the late fourteenth century.
Visible lacks. The nose in particular totally broken.
