Superb gilt bronze medallion representing the aged Louis XIV, seemingly after the relief by Pierre Puget (in Marseille). The facial features are accentuated, especially the nose. Mercury gilding in superb condition. The chasing is remarkable, the hammering on the face making it more alive. Excellent condition.
