A nice small bronze mount in the shape of a bishop, covered with a mitre and a halo, holding a crozier, which top is broken. The bishop seems to be looking down to the left.
The figure is from cast and chased bronze. The size and the nature is consistent with a reliquary mount. The halo, as well as the crozier staff, and perhaps the item Very comparable figures can be found on a New York Metropolitan Museum of Art German pendant from the medieval period. (see below) The statuette is displayed on a plexiglas mount.
